PRODUCT OVERVIEW

If you already have a bed rack, tonneau cover, or other rail-mounted accessories, it could be a little more challenging to add our Billet Rail Tie Downs, or any other accessory for that matter. Look no further, the solution to mounting Billet Tie Downs and accessories to your Tacoma or Tundra bed rails is here!

Our standard Rail Tie Down mounting plates are beefy! Due to the substantial, full-width size, installation requires you to slide them in from the ends of the rails. This doesn't always work if you already have other items installed on the bed rails, but these Rail T-Nuts can be installed anywhere on your Toyota bed rail without removing a thing!

Simply pre-thread the Rail T-Nut loosely onto the bolts, with the rounded corners oriented so they will rotate into place as you tighten the hardware. These will slip right into the slots on your rails, and then lock into place as you tighten the bolts!

Please note that the standard mounting plates that come with our Rail Tie-Downs have a built-in locking feature, which the T-Nuts do not have. Installation and proper use is the responsibility of the truck owner and the hardware should always be checked for tightness before use! With that said, we are proud to offer a clean and simple solution to a common customer request!

Lifesaver for install!

Lifesaver for sure To install on Tacoma even with a roll block bed cover and fits on track so easy and easy To install tie downs. Original plates and screws are good to have but to be able to move smaller T nuts in areas of tight spaces save time and so worth it. Glad I got them.

Charvonia Design Rail Nuts

Really nice concept that works well with my Tacoma. I have a retractable tonneau cover and because the hardware for the cover obstructs part of the rail the standard anchors do not work, i.e., I would have to remove the hardware, install the standard tiedown anchors, then re-install the cover hardware. The rail nuts eliminate this problem by installing into the rail horizontally and then when they are tightened they rotate to a vertical orientation. An excellent idea and a well made product! And they are made in the USA!

Functional and Look Great

Much nicer than the Toyota OEM tie-down brackets; especially, if you have a tonneau cover. These have the right heighth to fit without making contact with the cover. The build of these will ensure that ropes do not frey.

HOW MANY TIE-DOWN ANCHORS DO I NEED FOR MY TRUCK?

WHAT IF I HAVE A SPRAY-IN BEDLINER?

If you have a spray-in bedliner, you can still remove the factory tie-down anchors. First, carefully cut along the edge of the anchor using a razor blade. Make multiple light passes to cut through the bedliner. Then use a pick or small screwdriver to remove the bedliner inside the Torx head. You may find it useful to lightly tap the T40 bit into the screw head with a hammer. Your new Billet Tie-Down Anchors are wider than the factory ones and will normally cover any missing bedliner.

WILL THE RAIL TIE-DOWN ANCHORS FIT WITH A TONNEAU COVER OR CAMPER SHELL?

The OEM Tie-Downs stick up above the bed rails and are incompatible with many tonneau covers and camper shells. Your new Billet Rail Tie-Downs sit flush with top of the factory rails, so if your tonneau cover installation still uses or relocates the rails then these will also work.

WILL MY BED TIE-DOWN ANCHORS WORK WITH A BED EXTENDER?

Yes! Several customers run our Billet Tie-Down Anchors with a bed extender.

ARE THE RAIL TIE-DOWN ANCHORS MORE SECURE THAN THE FACTORY ONES?

Yes! Because you need a tool to install them, they are harder to steal than the factory Rail Tie-Downs which are only secured by a plastic knob. You can also use a padlock through the slot for extra security.

What tools will I need?

You will need a 6mm hex wrench or bit to install the Bed or Rail Tie-Down Anchors. To remove the stock Bed Tie-Downs you will need a T40 Torx bit. If you want to torque them you will also need a torque wrench and compatible 6mm hex bit socket, but many customers are comfortable simply tightening them by hand.

ARE THE RAIL TIE-DOWNS ADJUSTABLE?

Yes! Simply loosen the bolts with a 6mm hex and you can slide them to any position along the rail. If you want a positive lock for maximum strength, use the stepped side of the plate and make sure it locks into one of the notches inside the factory rails. If you want to be able to slide them anywhere on the rail, then install the plate backwards so the step does not catch the notches in the rail.
