If you already have a bed rack, tonneau cover, or other rail-mounted accessories, it could be a little more challenging to add our Billet Rail Tie Downs, or any other accessory for that matter. Our standard Rail Tie Down mounting plates are beefy! Due to the substantial size, installation requires you to slide them in from the ends of the rails. This doesn't always work if you already have other items installed on the bed rails, but these Rail T-Nuts can be installed anywhere on your Toyota bed rail without removing a thing!
Simply pre-thread the Rail T-Nut loosely onto the bolts, with the rounded corners oriented so they will rotate into place as you tighten the hardware. These will slip right into the slots on your rails, and then lock into place as you tighten the bolts!
Please note that the standard mounting plates that come with our Rail Tie-Downs have a built-in locking feature, which the T-Nuts do not have. Installation and proper use is the responsibility of the truck owner and the hardware should always be checked for tightness before use! With that said, this is a common installation question that customers sometimes ask, so we are proud to offer a clean and simple solution!
